Goodbye Daily Lesson Plans!

Being a teaching in grade one for a whole school year, making the daily lesson plan is really a drag.  I prepared, if my memory serves me right, 4 subjects (Fil., Eng., Math, and EKAWP) and had to finish the lesson plans plus the instructional materials before the following day.  Mind you, the instructional materials in grade one were really challenging.  They had to be attractive as possible for the little pupils.  To cut the long story short, I ended up finishing my lesson plans and instructional materials at 2 A.M. and had a-not-enough-2.5hrs-of-sleep-before-waking-up and going to school again. KILL ME!

Alas, this predicament most teachers face will be history.  Yes! Beginning S.Y. 2012-2013, teachers of all public elementary and secondary schools will have more time for other super-necessary-things other than the so-called daily lesson plans.  The Department of Education (DepEd) adops flexibility in the preparation of the daily lessons.  Instead of making daily lesson plans, teachers may now adopt the Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) which I think is more easier to make.  It only includes the following:

Lesson-as cited in the TG/TM reference materials with the page/s number
Learner's Material-Activity Sheets, Modules, other materials wit the page number reference
Remarks-Indicating the number of learners within mastery level; number of learners needing enrichment/refinement lessons
Other Activities-include interventions given to the pupils/students who did not master the lesson(s) in the previous day.

However, teachers with less than two (2) years teaching experience shall be required to follow the daily lesson plans  which include the usual stuffs ( objective, subject matter, procedure, assessment/evaluation,assignment)
